Born and raised in Sinton, Texas, Dr. Charles Kolb graduated from Sinton High School before continuing on to Abilene Christian University for his undergraduate degree. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Texas, and has practiced in Taft since 1970.
Dr. Kolb has been very active professionally at the local, state, and national levels. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, and is also a member of both the American and International College of Dentists. Dr. Kolb was the first dentist in the nation to receive the Mentor Award from the American Student Dental Association. He also received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the University of Texas Dental School.
Dr. Kolb currently resides in Portland, Texas, with his wife, Sherry, who is the Past President of Alliance to TDA. Both his children, Dr. Jonathan Kolb and Dr. LeAnn Kolb-Snody, followed in their father’s footsteps to become dentists. Dr. Kolb is exceedingly proud that they have joined him in practice.
